Verizon NJ Fiber Optic Deployment Time Line
This is the time line for deployment of fiber optic services, with speeds of bi-directional 45Mbps that is part of the original Verizon “Opportunity New Jersey” (“ONJ”) contract. It shows that by 2010, Verizon would have 100% of their territory (96% of the state) completed. Had the law not been put into affect, Verizon claimed that ‘business as usual’ (“BAU”) would have their territory completed by 2030.The plan was proposed in 1991, and sent to the NJ Board of Public Utilities in 1992. The Order went through in 1993
