Sign me up. I’ve been complaining about these things to TWC ever since they took over from Adelphia. Their premium NBA League Pass is till in SD
Corporations are not people. Comcast and Time-Warner should be treated as utilities, especially since they are practically monopolies in their respective areas of “service”. As such, they should never be allowed to merge and create a super-monopoly!!!!!!
I have Time Warner and I am also paying a ridiculous price of $163, for JUST internet and cable tv. I also have NO premium channels. They have been a rip off for years but unfortunately the only service in my area. Something needs to be done about Time Warner Cable, and the money they are stealing from people every month!
That’s why i left them for direct tv to over priced.they always nickel and diming you.they are a complete ripoff company.i just got tired of getting rob.im so happy what i have already i will never go back to them even if its free.
I am just one drop in a VERY LARGE RIVER OF COMPLAINTS against this merger.
When a cable company has enough clout to get you fired from your job for complaining about their poor service, something’s wrong with transmission that can’t can’t be fixed by hitting the remote ……… except to just turn it off.
I use Verizon Fios and would like to sign petition my bill went up quite a lot in three years
Since reluctantly ordering Time Warner in August 2011, I was charged $89.99 which included Cable (basic, no premium channels), Telephone and Internet. After one year, I am now paying $173.00 for the same services. Nothing has changed; the services are exactly what they were on the day I ordered service. This is outrageous and highway robbery.
One of the worst companies in the US, maybe even world. The law needs to crack down on them and stop their monopolistic ways.
I just recently downgraded my service to save money and they increased my internet charges to be the same amount!
This merger cannot be claimed to be in the public’s interest in any fashion. Investigation of business practices at both companies is overdue and definitely in the public’s best interest. Do what your reason for existence requires and investigate then charge these awful companies for their business practices and attempt at monopolizing the marketplace
“Thomas Jefferson recognized that a restriction against excessive corporate power and control in the marketplace— endorsing the idea that the government should be used to regulate and control that power— was a critical ingredient to ensuring our continued freedom. He went ever further, suggesting that this liberty from corporate domination should be enshrined in the Constitution.”
We, as a nation, have lost more wisdom than we can ever obtain. At least that’s my fear.
It will do little to complain to the government since THEY are the ones who allowed all this to happen. Regulation? Laughable. There’s too many lobbyist in D.C that pour money into their candidates who will support their financial agenda. It won’t do one bit of good to complain. Face it, the FCC was aware of this and still allowed it to happen. What the hell good are they? They might as well disband this body of crooks and save some federal tax money for all the good they do. If the investigators who wrote and compiled this story can see through this, why can’t our watchdogs in Washington? The only way to beat them is to turn them off. Use an outdoor antenae for TV, use your cell phone for phone (especially if you have a good cheap provider). For internet these small towns and other municipalities can probably build and operate their own local cable system at one quarter the cost. Why not do this? These people need to be controlled by the Public Service Commission like electric utilities are. The problem is that in many towns, such as the one I live in in NY state, the cable company pays the local government protection money or as they call it a “franchise fee” to keep other companies out. So, in a nut shell your cable company is collecting money that goes to your local government body…….just like another tax. This should be against the law. If there was more competition there might be lower prices. That’s a BIG might be though. I like the idea of small towns developing their own systems. The cost of establishing this system could be recouped in monthly fees. The system would then be owned by the people of that town. Just a thought folks. I’m sick and tired of them too.
I am a TimeWarner Customer. Not because I chose to be – but I had no alternative. It is TimeWarner or no internet.
Each year they try to raise my price. Each year I fight them on it. It is a sad condition.
Please give us alternatives. Regulate Time Warner and give us other Internet Providers!
The prospect of TWC and Comcast merging is, at best, frightening. It’s high time the government step in and put the people first. I dumped Comcast only 2 days ago for the deplorable business practices, poorly trained customer service reps, and logging hours upon hours on the phone regarding their inaccurate pricing (at least based upon what they quoted) and their absolute inabiity to deliver on the services. Please FCC, step up and do what is right. Quash the merger and return this country to it’s freedom.
twc is really terrible. I’d choose another provider, but my landlord won’t allow verizon , rcn or a satelite provider into the building.
So twc has a virtual monopoly. they should be regulated like con ed and should not be allowed to merge with comcast
Time Warner Cable delivers unsatisfactory service for an exorbitant price. Among other abuses, they took away c-span from TVs not directly connected to a cable box – surely that is illegal. Further, they have no competition, so there is no alternative.
im bitching because these pricks ARE THROTTLING MY INTERNET WHEN IM STREAMING MOVIES OR WWE NETWORK THERE FORCING PEOPLE FROM TWC TO SPECTRUM BY THROTTLING THERE ROAD RUNNER TO MAKE MORE MONEY
THATS WHY PEOPLE DONT LIKJE THIS SHITTY LITTLE COMPANY BETTER OFF GOING TO GREEN LIGHT NETWORK IF YOU LIVE IN THE ROCHESTER AREA https://www.greenlightnetworks.com/
